Management Accountant

The Central Finance team plays a critical role in supporting this growth by delivering high-quality financial reporting, robust controls, and insight-led analysis across the group.
The Role
We are seeking a high-calibre Management Accountant to join our Central Finance team. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for preparing management and statutory accounts, delivering insightful analysis, and actively improving financial processes and cost efficiency across the group.
The role will also play a key part in integrating newly acquired businesses and executing the group’s 100-day plans following acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities – Financial Reporting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet ownership across multiple entities.
• Preparation of statutory accounts and support through the year-end and audit process.
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of a strong control environment.
• Ensuring timely and accurate month-end close in a fast-paced group setting.
Analysis & Value Add
• Production of insightful variance analysis and management commentary.
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the group’s financial performance.
• Assessing efficiency opportunities across both financial processes and cost bases.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
Process Improvement & Systems
• Continual review and improvement of finance processes to support scalability and efficiency.
• Supporting systems development, automation, and data quality improvements.
• Contributing to group-wide finance projects and change initiatives.
M&A Integration
• Playing a key role in the financial integration of newly acquired offices and businesses.
• Executing and monitoring finance-related elements of the 100-day post-acquisition plan.
• Standardising reporting, controls, and processes across new acquisitions.
• Acting as a finance point of contact during acquisition and integration phases.
The Person – Essential
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience preparing group management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge with exposure to statutory accounts preparation.
• Analytical mindset with a strong focus on adding value beyond the numbers.
• Proactive self-starter able to work independently in a growing and changing environment.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with cloud finance systems.
• Experience working in a multi-entity or group environment.
