Role Overview
To support the Manager as part of a team on the delivery of Streets general personal tax function, executing the self-assessment tax return preparation for a range of clients. To support the team in carrying out the responsibilities of the tax department.
Key Responsibilities
To have a reasonable understanding of taxation principles and practices to deliver an effective service to clients.
Working with the Manager and team to ensure quality taxation services and excellent client service.
Delivering the self-assessment tax return preparation for clients with a variety of sources of income to include investment portfolios, rental income, pensions and overseas income.
To assist with other taxation paperwork and returns such as 60 day Capital Gains Tax returns and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on client matters.
To have good client relationship skills, to be able to build strong relationships and handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manor.
Provide mentoring and guidance to other trainees within the team where necessary.
Assist the tax team with any ad hoc work that is required.
The opportunity in the future to undertake studies toward the relevant tax qualification ATT supported by Streets.
