Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Personal Tax Semi Senior to join our dynamic tax team. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in personal tax who is looking to take the next step in their career. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in managing client relationships, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Manage portfolio of personal tax clients ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines
Prepare tax computations and returns for Manager/Partner review
Review tax work prepared by non-tax specialists
Provide technical assistance in resolving tax queries
Provide assistance on ad hoc advisory projects including technical research
Provide advice on tax liabilities, working within tax law and HMRC provisions
Identify tax planning opportunities
Provide capital gains and inheritance tax planning advice
Manage complex HMRC correspondence
Skills, Qualifications and other Requirements:
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required.
ATT/CTA qualified or prepared to work towards
Good commercial understanding
Ability to work to demanding deadlines in a high pressurised environment
Ability to travel to client premises and between offices
Good organisational and administrative skills
Excellent attention to detail and technical ability
Proven analytical skills
Good understanding of accounts
Self motivated and keen to progress
