Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing accountancy and business advisory firm as our People Team Administrator. To support this journey, we are investing in our People infrastructure and processes. This role is based in our Kenilworth, Cape Town office, working as part of a collaborative People team supporting UK and South Africa operations. You will work closely with colleagues across the UK and South Africa using Microsoft Teams, playing a key role in supporting all People in our team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide all HR transactional administration relating to employees' terms and conditions throughout the life cycle of their employment, processing transactions in a professional, efficient and accurate way, ensuring a high level of service.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies and data protection requirements.
Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters, and policies.
Produce HR and recruitment reports, data extracts, and management information to support both UK and South Africa People Team.
Ensure statutory and compliance documentation, such as right-to-work checks and certifications, is completed and recorded correctly.
Support the People team throughout the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and supporting candidate screening and shortlisting.
Support HR projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with employee engagement activities and wider People team initiatives as required.
What we need from you
Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels both internally and externally
Comfortable collaborating via Video calls
A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and ways of working.
Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships across the UK and South Africa.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in an HR administrative or HR operations role is essential
Extensive understanding of SA employment law essential
Previous working experience in an international role, particularly UK would be advantageous
Graduate with a HR qualification (or working towards).
Desirable: Qualified Psychometrist (or equivalent recognised qualification) with the ability to administer and interpret psychometric assessments used within the UK.
