The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join our remote South African team.

Working closely with UK Managers and Partners, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, prepare statutory accounts and tax returns, and deliver a high standard of service across a broad range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and charities.

· Prepare corporation tax computations and company tax returns.

· Prepare personal tax returns and VAT returns.

· Assist with bookkeeping and management accounts where required.

· Manage client queries and build strong client relationships.

· Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with UK accounting standards.

· Support Managers, Partners and junior team members where required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Minimum 3 years' experience within an accounting practice.

· Experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns.

· Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge.

· Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar accounting software.

· Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

· Excellent written and verbal English communication.

· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Desirable

· Experience working with UK clients or UK accounting standards.

· Experience using IRIS, CCH or other UK practice software.

· ACA, ACCA, AAT, SAICA or SAIPA qualified, part-qualified, or studying towards a professional qualification.
