Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our Accounts & Tax Department.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience looking to further develop their technical accounts and tax knowledge within a supportive and modern firm.

The successful candidate will work closely with managers and senior team members whilst taking increasing responsibility for their own portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships

• Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns

• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns

• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries

• Supporting senior team members with client portfolio management

• Assisting with tax planning and ad hoc advisory work where appropriate

• Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working within an accountancy practice

• Is AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience

• Has experience preparing accounts and tax returns

• Has good technical knowledge and attention to detail

• Is organised and able to manage workloads effectively

• Communicates confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues

• Is motivated to continue learning and progressing within practice

Desirable Experience

• Experience using Xero and TaxCalc
