We’re looking for a Senior IT Manager who is passionate about technology, thrives on solving complex challenges, and is eager to drive innovation across our organisation. Reporting directly to the IT Director, this is a pivotal role where you’ll shape the direction of our IT operations, spearhead our cloud-first journey, and ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and ready for tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all technical IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, systems, backups, disaster recovery and security.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
- Manage our current cloud environments and accelerate our migration to Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and resilience through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Perform regular systems updates, often out of hours.
- Implement IT processes, procedures and policies.
- Technical contact with vendors and dealing with escalations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT, 3 of which in management or senior technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and security principles.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a face-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certifications, ITIL,) are desirable.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
- Skilled at building lasting bonds across the business, trusted as a partner who listens, understands needs, and delivers technology solutions with genuine care and respect.
- Naturally forward-looking, inquisitive, and proactive — always scanning for smarter, more secure, and more efficient ways to enable the firm and its clients through technology.
- Confident in owning decisions and outcomes, taking pride in delivering high-quality IT solutions and acting as a reliable extension of the leadership team.
- A true believer in the strength of collaboration, working closely with colleagues across departments and locations, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and external partners.
- Passionate about supporting growth, both by developing and mentoring your IT team and by helping the wider business unlock its potential through technology.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.
- Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks (GDPR, Cyber Essentials).
- Experience within a professional services firm.
- Familiarity with automation tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with multi-site organisations.

Our office is based in Lincoln, we can offer hybrid working. Ideally in the office 4 days a week to begin with, but could reduce in time.
